Nebula is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics Universe. A race of humanoid aliens with blue and purple skin, Nebula is incredibly resilient and determined, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.

Some of the dogs in our program are adopted before we get to know them. Some stay longer but require several weeks to show their character. Some dogs receive additional evaluations and training by professionals if needed.
We work hard to provide as much information as possible, but the process is not perfect. Our goal is to give the dogs the best chance to stay in their home for the rest of their lives so we are genuine regarding what we know about them. For MPR, quality of our placements takes precedence over a quick turnaround.
We do our very best to update the dogs' bios as quickly as we can. In some cases, dogs are adopted before we are able to revise their listing.
Please do not contact MPR via email or messenger to inquire about a dog’s personality and/or temperament, compatibility with other pets, etc. The volunteers in charge of replying to general requests are not the same as those handling and evaluating the dogs. They will not be able to answer your questions.
Missouri Pit Bull Rescue makes no express or implied warranty, representation or promise to the age, health, breed, habits, disposition, behaviors, obedience, or safety of the dogs in our program. Our assessments are subjective and based on information we receive when selecting the dogs for our program, as well as observations and reports from our volunteers and caretakers. Adopters understand that no one can predict how a dog will act or react under all circumstances and situations.
Background Info:
Nebula was brought into the city pound by Animal Services after a neighbor called in and stated that their neighbors had moved out and left her behind. When Animal Services arrived she was loose in the front yard and flopped over for a belly rub. She then followed the officer and hopped right in the truck! Needless to say, she made quite an impression on animal control staff and a ton of friends at the city shelter!

When she was sadly scheduled for euthanasia due to being selective with other dogs during introductions, a plea was immediately made on her behalf to save her life. Thankfully a foster home opened up in our program so this lucky gal is now safe and waiting for love in a precious foster. Note that Nebula's placement will give a chance to another dog like her who is out of options, so please consider opening your heart to this pretty lady. Giving her a home will also save the life of another dog!

Physical Description:
Nebula is such a beautiful dog with the softest blue and white coat. Her darling brown eyes are full of love! She is the perfect sized pittie - About medium, but slightly smaller than average with a strong and healthy built. Quite the pretty girl.
Current Living Situation:
Nebula is currently at the MPR shelter.
Personality:
Nebula is a happy dog with an outgoing disposition. In fact, she has a perfectly balanced personality! Once she runs-off her young dog energy with some zoomies, she is the ultimate couch potato. This girl is the biggest snuggler! She wants to be cuddle up as close to her human as possible!
Neb is eager to please, fun-loving, smart and responsive.
Behavior with people:
Nebula quickly wins over everyone she meets! She gets so excited to greet new people and has no malice but we’re working on keeping all four paws on the ground.
Behavior with children:
Unknown. Nebula can get overly happy when excited and play a little rough. A home without children or possibly teenagers would be best.
Behavior with other dogs:
Though she has been introduced to other dogs and even been parts of playgroups, she can be selective with other dogs, and will likely do best as an only pet. Plus she’ll want all of your love for herself. We will not rule out a home with a compatible male if owners are familiar with the breed and know how to manage the dogs interaction very well but we believe Nebula would shine as the only 4-legged princess in the home.
Behavior with other animals:
Nebula reacts to squirrels and bunnies in the backyard and on walks, but does very well with redirection!
Training:
Nebula is very eager to please! She’s such a smart girl and adjusts well to direction from her humans. She knows sit, down, speak, and is working on a few other commands! She is also house broken and crate trained. She does pull on the leash and can get mouthy while playing, but she’s improving with some additional direction.
Nebula recently completed an Obedience 1 course and exceled! She’ll do great with continued training!
Best Attribute:
Aside from her beautiful looks, Nebula’s sweet and laid back nature is her best attribute. She’ll be your best friend in dog form! She truly wants to love and be loved.
