Before applying for a dog, please take a moment to review our Adoption Information & Procedures

Some of the dogs in our program are adopted before we get to know them. Some stay longer but require several weeks to show their character. Some dogs receive additional evaluations and training by professionals if needed.

We work hard to provide as much information as possible, but the process is not perfect. Our goal is to give the dogs the best chance to stay in their home for the rest of their lives so we are genuine regarding what we know about them. For MPR, quality of our placements takes precedence over a quick turnaround.

We do our very best to update the dogs' bios as quickly as we can. In some cases, dogs are adopted before we are able to revise their listing.

Please do not contact MPR via email or messenger to inquire about a dog’s personality and/or temperament, compatibility with other pets, etc. The volunteers in charge of replying to general requests are not the same as those handling and evaluating the dogs. They will not be able to answer your questions.

Missouri Pit Bull Rescue makes no express or implied warranty, representation or promise to the age, health, breed, habits, disposition, behaviors, obedience, or safety of the dogs in our program. Our assessments are subjective and based on information we receive when selecting the dogs for our program, as well as observations and reports from our volunteers and caretakers. Adopters understand that no one can predict how a dog will act or react under all circumstances and situations.

Background Info:

Lola came into our care underweight, sick with kennel cough, and clearly neglected. Despite her rough start, she was gentle, loving, and would melt into your lap for comfort. With time, care, and love, she’s blossomed into a happy, healthy, and silly pup.

Physical Description:

Lola is stunning—with a smooth blue coat accented by unique brown brindling, two different colored eyes, and adorably mismatched ears. Her look is topped off with mostly white nails and a few dainty black ones that add to her charm.

Current Living Situation:

Lola is living in a foster home with other dogs. She enjoys their company but sometimes gets a bit overexcited with play, which can annoy more laid-back pups.

Personality:

Lola is stunning—with a smooth blue coat accented by unique brown brindling, two different colored eyes, and adorably mismatched ears. Her look is topped off with mostly white nails and a few dainty black ones that add to her charm. She’s compact in size but built like she’s been secretly hitting the gym—her little body is now solid, strong, and surprisingly muscular, like a pocket-sized athlete with a goofy streak.

Behavior with people:

Lola loves people. She’s affectionate, playful, and enjoys cuddling after playtime. She’d be a great match for someone who wants a fun, active dog to share adventures with.

Behavior with children:

Lola hasn’t been around children in her foster home, but based on her personality, we think she’d do well with older kids who can handle her spunky energy.

Behavior with other dogs:

She lives with other dogs and enjoys them, though her enthusiasm can be a bit much for dogs who prefer calmer play. She may thrive as an only dog or with a tolerant canine sibling.

Behavior with other animals:

She hasn’t met cats or small animals, and we believe a home without them would be the best fit.

Training:

Lola is working on learning appropriate play and basic manners. Her eagerness to connect with people makes her a great candidate for continued training.

Best Attribute:

Her silliness! Lola is endlessly entertaining with her clumsy zoomies, bendy lounging positions, and expressive personality. She’s totally unique and waiting for someone who will love her just the way she is.
