Some of the dogs in our program are adopted before we get to know them. Some stay longer but require several weeks to show their character. Some dogs receive additional evaluations and training by professionals if needed.
We work hard to provide as much information as possible, but the process is not perfect. Our goal is to give the dogs the best chance to stay in their home for the rest of their lives so we are genuine regarding what we know about them. For MPR, quality of our placements takes precedence over a quick turnaround.
We do our very best to update the dogs' bios as quickly as we can. In some cases, dogs are adopted before we are able to revise their listing.
Please do not contact MPR via email or messenger to inquire about a dog’s personality and/or temperament, compatibility with other pets, etc. The volunteers in charge of replying to general requests are not the same as those handling and evaluating the dogs. They will not be able to answer your questions.
Missouri Pit Bull Rescue makes no express or implied warranty, representation or promise to the age, health, breed, habits, disposition, behaviors, obedience, or safety of the dogs in our program. Our assessments are subjective and based on information we receive when selecting the dogs for our program, as well as observations and reports from our volunteers and caretakers. Adopters understand that no one can predict how a dog will act or react under all circumstances and situations.
Background Info:
Giggles was a frequent flyer thru the city shelter. Eventually, sadly, her owner didn't come for her. She was put into foster with small kids and did well until the kids weren't able to protect her from a loose dog. Giggles lost her foster home and the staff contacted us about this happy girl we couldn't say no to.

Physical Description:
Giggles is a short, stout lady with a big round head, bouncy ears and those adoring round eyes only to be topped off with the best smile! Her super soft coat of beautiful white, blue and tan tricolor and those plush big feet give her almost a teddy bear look!
Current Living Situation:
This happy gal is thriving in foster care with adult female and male foster parents. She is proving to do really well in her temporary home.
Personality:
What a happy lady! She has such a great outlook on life after all she has been through.
Behavior with people:
Doesn't know a stranger! She seems to be happy to meet everyone with that big beautiful smile and wiggly booty!
Behavior with children:
We were told Giggles did well in her previous foster home with kids. With that knowledge we think she could go in a home with children and proper adult supervision.
Behavior with other dogs:
We believe Giggles could live with a male dog of the same size or larger with very slow proper introductions.
Behavior with other animals:
Unfortunately Giggles is a no cat kind of gal.
Training:
She seems to know basic commands and wants to learn more!

Giggles best attribute is her absolute Happy-Go-Lucky lust for life!
