Background Info:

Wilma and her counterpart, Fred Flintstone, were found as strays, though shortly after their arrival we tracked back a possible owner and a little bit of history. These two goofballs come to life when they’re together and MPR took on the challenge to find a forever home dedicated to keeping this bonded pair together.

Health Condition:
Wilma is healthy and ready for adoption.

Physical Description:
Wilma is medium size but big boned. She has a snow-white coat and piercing baby blue eyes. There are some light brown splotches on her ears. She has a thick and very soft velvety coat and loves to be brushed.

Living Situation:
Wilma has adjusted well to life at the MPR shelter. She was a bit unsure about her surroundings when she arrived, but she promptly came out of her shell and blossomed before our eyes. Although always a good girl and very pleasant dog, she thrives when she is out with Fred.

Wilma has awesome house manners at the shelter. Never had an accident in our out of her kennel and always waits for her turn in the yard to do her business. In addition, she is not destructive of her bedding and always keeps her little area nice and neat.

Wilma is not reactive when dogs walk by her kennels and goes out of hers without paying any attention to the other dogs. She seems to be the kind to not let things impress her much. She's cool as a cucumber.

Personality:
Wilma is a very well behaved gal, friendly, outgoing and personable. Well-rounded dog. Her level of energy is medium to high. While she is not hyper by any means, she loves a good bout of zoomies in the yard. She outruns her buddy Fred too.

Wilma is not a pushover, but she is very obedient and polite. She's in fact an easy dog who aims at pleasing her loved-ones. No trouble at all.

Behavior with people:
An absolute sweetheart. Wilma loves to be pet and get massages. Always in good spirits and very laid-back. Wilma has a serene behavior with people and is comfortable with everyone.

Behavior with children:
We were told Wilma lived in a home with a single mom and 5 children at some point in her life. She's a real sweetheart and we have noticed that she's very at ease around the kids she has met since being with us.

Please keep in mind that since we will adopt Wilma to a home with Fred, two big dogs may not be the best idea for small children. She and Fred love to roughhouse and run around full speed in the yard together.

Behavior with other dogs:
Wilma is unbothered by other dogs. She does not bark or cause any trouble with her kennel neighbors. She has only been around Fred to our knowledge and they are a bonded pair 😊 While they love each others and do awesome together, she is a little dominant over him. He takes her attitude in stride. Supervision is a must and triggers, such as toys and food, should always be monitored.

Behavior with other animals:
Unknown.

Training:
Wilma learned a few basic commands at the shelter and did a little bit of clicker training. It's obvious that she's been a well-behaved family companion all her life.

Best Attribute:
Wilma is an absolute sweetheart and a total beauty. She is a sweet, gentle soul when you are one-on-one with her, but becomes animated and full of life when she’s with Fred. They are such a great pair!
