Background Info:

Teddy's previous owner left him behind with a roommate when he moved out and never came back for him. Teddy was taken to the city pound where he made a great impression on the staff with his sweet nature & fun-loving personality. Teddy was adopted a few months ago only to come back recently because an older female in the home didn't do well with him.

Adoption Fee: $150
Breed: Pit Bull
Sex: Male
Age: 1-3 yrs
Weight: 60-70 lbs
Health Condition:

Teddy Ruxpin is healthy and ready for adoption.

Physical Description:

Gorgeous golden/copper coat, cute little Teddy bear head, and such beautiful eyes. This dog has everything it takes to quickly win someone over.

Current Living Situation:

Teddy is adjusting to shelter life at MPR as best as he can. This is a dog who is used to being in a home, so his current situation is a little hard on him. Despite losing his family yet again, Teddy is keeping his chin up and being a good sport about it all. He kennels well and is not causing any trouble while waiting for another chance to win someone's heart.

Personality:

A fun-loving and outgoing goofball. Teddy has a good combination of traits such as; a playful disposition, positive energy, loving nature, and chill personality. He's pretty typical for a young dog his age and doesn't seem to have any hang-ups in life... Except when it comes to his nails 🤦‍♀️ Teddy-boy is not thrilled about getting a manicure, but we are working on it.

Behavior with people:

Friendly and comfortable with everyone he meets. Happy-go-lucky, outgoing, and sweet. He's very content around people and enjoys making friends.

Behavior with children:

Unknown with small kids, but he's great with teenagers. Since he's well-behaved and easy to handle, we think a home with younger kids might be an option for him, as long as they are big enough to sustain his happy energy.

Behavior with other dogs:

Teddy gets along with compatible female dogs. He is young and energetic however, and will do better with a companion who has a similar happy energy and fun drive. He would also do very well as an only pet.

Behavior with other animals:

Teddy was briefly introduced to a cat a few months ago and while he did not show aggression, he seemed a little too enthusiastic in chasing it. We believe he would do better in a home with no feline friends.

Training:

Teddy knows basic commands and does well in a crate. This little guy is smart and eager to please.
