This good looking dude was found as a stray, taken to the city shelter and surprisingly never claimed. A hit with the staff, they contacted us right away to come meet him. The rest is history...

Physical Description:

Medium size, athletic and very well proportioned. And look at those eyes!! This dog is GORGEOUS in person.



Current Living Situation:

Pixel is living-it-up at MPR shelter. He's a good sport about his situation and taking his ordeal in stride. Pixel keeps his kennel clean and uses the doggy-door to let himself out for his business if needed. He does well with his bedding and keeps his kennel neat and tidy. He is no trouble at all and the volunteers adore him. They claim he is the best dog we have right now and no one understands why he hasn't been adopted yet.



Personality:

Fun-loving goof who's always in a good mood. While he's a very happy-go-lucky dog, Pixel also has a bit of a sensitive soul. Positive leadership does wonders with him.



Pixels loves to run, play and have a good time outside and is a calm, well-behaved cuddle-bug inside. Pixel is a beautiful smart boy with good manners and great demeanors. Pixel loves to chase the ball and do zoomies in the yard. He's a well-rounded dog with a medium/high energy level but very chill in the house. The kind of dog who can adapt to a lot of different situations provided he has a good outlet for his energy.

Pixel went to the lake with volunteers this summer and had a fantastic time. Very well behaved on the pontoon boat and had a blast in the water. He's a great swimmer and a ton of fun 🏖️

Behavior with people:

Very friendly, outgoing and playful. He doesn't know a stranger! His affectionate, amicable and loving temperament is very true to the breed. Pixel is a great Pit Bull ambassador.



Behavior with children:

Unknown but he might be a bit too sensitive for toddlers. We have a feeling he would do well in an active home with playful teenagers, provided they treat him with kindness.



Behavior with other dogs:

We were told that Pixel was a bit overwhelming when introduced to other dogs while at the city shelter. He comes across a little too eager and can be irritating to sensitive dogs. We believe he would do best as an only pet. He might be able to share a home with a compatible female, provided she is young, active and self-secured enough to handle a silly-clown who loves to roughhouse.

UPDATE: We introduced Pixel to a young female tis summer and he did well for the most part. Roughhousing needs to be supervised and well-managed. Slow intros recommended.

Behavior with other animals:

Unknown. A home with cats is not recommended.

Training:

Pixel is one smart cookie! Eager to learn and to show off his tricks, this dog has great potential for obedience training. He's very sharp and has great timing responsive.



Best Attribute:

His friendliness, kind heart and sweet nature combined with his love to play and have a good time. This dog is pretty much perfect! Best in our program right now!
