Background Info:

Max was brought to a local animal shelter. We don’t know much about his past other than he is a Parvo survivor! With such resilience in a pup so young, we knew he would be a great addition to our program. Have you seen those eyes?!

Adoption Fee: $200
Breed: Pit Bull/Pointer Mix
Sex: Male
Age: 4-7 mths
Weight: Growing
Color: White

Health Condition:

Max has fully recovered from Parvo and he's doing great – healthy and ready for adoption! .

Physical Description:

Max is mostly white with brown spots all over. He has one blue eye and one brown eye, which makes him so unique and adds to his charm! He’s a tad scrawny from his illness, so we are working on getting him up to a healthy weight.

Living Situation:

Max is fostered in a home with two adults and two children, ages 10 and 13. He shares his fenced yard with two other pittie mixes – a senior female and a young male.

Personality:

So far Max has been very laid back. Max’s foster mom says he just wants to be held and petted. He flops on the couch in the cutest little puppy positions. He is also perfectly happy to sit on your lap and chill.

Note from foster mom: “Max has been a complete joy to have with us. He is the absolute definition of a snuggle bunny and he’s very chill.”

Behavior with people:

Max looooves people! He can be a bit timid at first, but he warms up quickly because he absolutely adores affection from humans. As a parvo survivor, we suspect he is still getting up to speed from recovering from his illness, but he is gaining confidence each day.

Behavior with children:

He has already met kids of multiple ages in his foster parents’ neighborhood, in addition to living with their two boys. Foster mom says Max is very polite and loving. He migrates to the kids and is very happy to see them.

Behavior with other dogs:

Unknown, but slow introductions are encouraged.

Note from foster mom: “He has "met" our two other dogs through his crate. They all did fine sniffing through the crate and I didn't see any concerns. However, they have not been let out around each other. I will not do this for at least two weeks- in order to give Max time to acclimate and not be overwhelmed.”

Behavior with other animals:

Unknown.

Training:

Max is working on potty training and crate training and he has proven to be an A+ student so far. Like lots of our dogs, Max is food motivated!

Note from foster mom: “He has not had any accidents in our house or his crate. We take him out regularly, however, so that he learns quickly where he needs to go to the bathroom. I was very surprised he was able to go overnight without peeing or pooping in his crate- but he has! He has learned quickly to go into the crate with a treat, and already recognizes the sound of the treat box and runs in! He's a very good boy!”

Best Attribute:

Like most pitties, Max doesn't know what personal space is! He loves to snuggle and wants to be close to his human friends at all times. Max's beautifully colored blue and brown eyes make him quite the looker! A cute and snuggly puppy won’t be around for long. Don’t wait to apply to adopt this little cutie!
