Background Info:

Lady Godiva was found as a stray and taken in by the city shelter. We were lucky enough to be asked to take this lover girl into our program and could not say no.

Adoption Fee: $150
Breed: Pit Bull mix
Sex: Female
Age: 1-3 yrs
Weight: 55-65 lbs
Health Condition:

Lady Godiva or "Lady G" as she goes by is healthy and ready to adopt.

Physical Description:

Godiva is a medium build dog at healthy weight. She has a beautiful golden coat with the most intimate dark eyes that seem to stare into your soul and steal your heart. She also sports frosted tip paws with cinnamon colored sparkles that make her such a unique little princess. This stunning gal has a stout muscular perfectly square build. Godiva's gorgeous head has a chiseled jawline and wide broad head that is sure to draw all the attention!

Current Living Situation:

Godiva currently lives at the MPR shelter and knows to use her doggy door when it is time to use the restroom. She likes to sit in front of her kennel door and try to seduce our volunteers to let her out early with her puppy dog eyes. Most are able to stay strong and make her wait her turn....some are not!

Personality:

Godiva has shown to be a total love-bug. This girl loves to be attached to you and get her snuggle on. Some describe Godiva as a stage-5 clinger and she is totally okay with it. If you leave a room, she will follow and wants to see what adventure is next. Her tail is constantly wagging and she hasn't seemed to meet a bad day yet. She is also a bit of a goofball and has been spotted barking at her own reflection a few times. We think she is trying to tell us "that girl sure is a beaut!"

Behavior with people:

As we are sure it is no surprise, Lady G is obsessed with being with our volunteers. One of her favorite things to do is drape herself across your body, look up at you with those beautiful dark eyes and seemingly tell you that she would like a belly rub and pronto. Godiva has shown to be especially fond of our male volunteers. When we have couples that volunteer, she is attached to the male and they have been totally smitten over her affectionate personality. But ladies do not worry, she will love on you as well and will meet you with gentle kisses.

Behavior with children:

We believe that Godiva could live with teenage aged children. Godiva is very affectionate and as a slightly larger dog, this can sometimes be too much for young children.

Behavior with other dogs:

It is our belief that Lady Godiva could live with a compatible male under slow introductions.

Behavior with other animals:

We have not seen Godiva interact with other animals but will be sure to update her profile as we know more.

Training:

Being so fond of humans, Godiva is very eager to please. She knows the basic commands such as 'sit' 'wait' and 'down'. We are continually working with her on teaching her more and she seems to love every bit of training with our volunteers.

Best Attribute:

Simply put, Lady Godiva is someone's future soul dog. Dogs with hearts as big as Godiva love hard and are such a great testament to the bully breed's loving and loyal nature. Godiva loves to see her humans walk through the door and immediately starts wagging her tail and is so eager for you to come over and tell her about your day in return for some belly rubs. Godiva's bright coat pails in comparison to how her personality will light up your life each and every day. This girl will be someone's ride or die, will you be lucky enough to make that person you?
