Background Info:

Bojangles was brought into the city pound as a stray by a member of the public. He was super skinny when found, and in bad shape, but still in great spirit. In fact, when we first met him, he was happily tap-dancing in the intake room, hence the name.
Health Condition:
Bojangles has nicely recovered from his ordeal as a stray, gained 20 Lbs, reclaimed a healthy coat and successfully completed heartworm treatment. He is ready to go home!

Physical Description:
Adorable blue boy of medium size, nice built and irresistible blocky head. Bojangles is likely mix with some sort of bully breed. His tail is shorter than a Pit Bull and a little crooked.

Living Situation:
Bo is being a very good boy at MPR shelter. No trouble at all. He's definitely a popular one with the volunteers because he's so easy and cordial. Bojangles uses his doggy-door to let himself out to do his business if needed, but he prefers to wait for the yard to relieve himself. He is not destructive of his bedding and keeps his kennel neat and tidy.

Bo has no reaction when dogs walk in front of his kennel and doesn't pay them any attention when he passes them to reach the door. He's a very good sport about his current situation and patiently waiting for the right home to come along.

Personality:
A gentleman-clown. A happy-go-lucky dude with a big heart. Bojangles is friendly, outgoing and always in a good mood.

Bojangles is eager to play and to have fun but is not overly hyper. Just very ready to run and celebrate life. He does have adorable bouts of zoomies so we prefer a large fenced yard for this teddy-bear.

Boj is not a pushy cuddler or annoyingly affectionate but he loves attention and has a loving disposition. He will gladly lay on your lap if you let him. His personality is well-balanced and very approachable.

Behavior with people:
Bo is a good-natured dog who enjoys the company of people. He has a constant smile in his eyes when he's with friends and a genuinely pleasant attitude.

Behavior with children:
Bojangles was temporarily fostered in a home with children and did very well. He met kids as young as 1 1/2 and had zero issues with them. In fact, he slept with a child at night, cuddling and sleeping through the night. We were told he likes to sleep in.

Behavior with other dogs:
While at the city shelter, Bojangles was introduced to other dogs with ambivalent results. He wasn't very comfortable and became tense and overwhelmed. While in foster care, he was introduced to the neighbors young female dog and did well with her, for the most part.

Behavior with other animals:
Bojangles briefly met cats before coming to our program and learned to leave them alone after some time. It's possible he could share a home with a cat but would require owners that are very dog & cat savvy.

Training:
Bojangles sits, lays down and shakes on command. He has been crated before and has no issues - just chews on a toy and relaxes.

Best Attribute:
Bojangles is loaded with great attributes. He's a well-behaved dog, easy-to-handle, loving, friendly and outgoing. As if this was not enough, he's gorgeous!
