Background Info:



Sweet Belinda was found as a stray and surprisingly never claimed. We still can't believe no one came for such a sweetheart as she is so amazing. We have no clue under what circumstances she lost her home, but we have reasons to believe it wasn't a great place for her anyway. We have no information regarding her background and upbringing, but due to her physical condition, we speculate that she was used as an unloved breeding machine.

We easily treated a few minor issues caused by a hard-life and Belinda is now healthy and ready for adoption.

Physical Description:

She's a very pretty girl, but years of producing puppies took its toll on her body a little bit. She has sagging skin under her belly, but it should tighten up within a few months now that she has been spayed. She will probably always look like she had puppies before... And she did; what can we say? Hopefully it won't be a reason to not give this little princess a chance. She is incredibly sweet and deserving, and has so much love to give 💕



Current Living Situation:

Belinda has been deemed "an angel of love" at MPR shelter and our volunteers are smitten. What a sweetheart this cutie-pie is 🥰 As if she couldn't be any more darling, she is super well-behaved and easy to handle. We couldn't ask for a better guest.



Personality:

She's pretty much perfect. So loving, docile, sweet, and appreciative. An affectionate princess with a wonderful temperament. Belinda is such a great representative of the breed that we have big hopes to see her become a great ambassador for Pit Bull rescue.

Her level of energy is on the low side, but she is lively and happy. She even does short-lived zoomies once in a while. She likes to play and to have fun, but nothing beats cuddling on the couch to watch TV on a quiet evening, relaxing on the front porch. or chilling by the pool.

Belinda is responsive and slightly submissive, though not shy or timid. She is in fact quite outgoing but polite.

Behavior with people:

A real people-lover. This gal is so friendly and affectionate, even a little clingy if you let her, but not overly pushy. She's a warmhearted dog who likes nothing more than spending quality time with her loved-ones.



Behavior with children:

Unknown but we have a feeling she would be just as angelic with little-ones as she is with adults. She's such a goodhearted dog and might even have a nanny personality since she's had so many puppies herself. For her sake however, we prefer a home with calm, gentle, and respectful children as she is a sensitive sweetheart. Please note that Belinda might also jump up on people when greeting her family; a behavior we are currently curbing with training.

Behavior with other dogs:

Unknown but she's giving us no reason to believe she couldn't share a home with a compatible male. She is a little older/mature however, and shouldn't be placed with a young obnoxious dog. We do believe she would love being an only pet.

Training:

She knows a few basic commands and is responsive. She should be easy to train. She hasn't had any accidents at she shelter and keeps her kennel clean.

This dog truly is a gem. If you are looking for a companion with an excellent temperament and good personality, you will not be disappointed with this princess. We don't get precious souls like her in the program very often. This dog is pure gold.
