This little girl was found as a stray and brought to the local city shelter, but was sadly never claimed. The shelter staff knew she was a great candidate to come to our program!

Physical Description:
Applesauce has a livery fawn coat that is thick and lustrous. She has a petite build with lanky legs. Her cute medium size head has the cutest ears that are always at attention when around her human! Applesauce has some strong and attentive eyes that draw you in. she is sure to be a good looking gal when fully grown!
Current Living Situation:
Applesauce is currently residing at our shelter where she uses her doggie door to take care of her business. While she keeps a clean kennel she has been known to take a blanket or two out her doggie door to her outside kennel, she is still a puppy after all!
Personality:
Saucy, as she has been nicknamed, has quite the strong personality that will require a home that has very strong breed knowledge and great leadership. She seems to show that if she doesn't have her brain exhausted as well as her energy her inner puppy antics come out lol! Don't get us wrong though, she is wicked smart! She just wants a life where that intelligence is met with mental exercise every day!
Behavior with people:
Applesauce wants her people to work her with interactive learning games then snuggle down once her energy is exhausted. Walks? YES! Puzzles? Oh Yeah! Obedience classes, you say? Now we are talkin!! She loves to run to the door and sit before you open it. Saucy has shown pretty great greetings to her humans by sitting in front of you when called so she can "earn" her treat!
Behavior with children:
Applesauce would do best in a home with older teenagers or no kids. She's a spunky baby who deserves mature leadership!
Behavior with other dogs:
Applesauce is working on her appropriate playstyle in playgroups. We will add more information as we learn more.
Behavior with other animals:
Applesauce has shown some prey drive so we think would do best in a home with no cats.
Training:
YES!!!! Training is what this girl craves! Saucy has a lot of personality but when captured with proper training she thrives!! Applesauce would do best in a home that wants to continue obedience training so she can show you how smart she is! She loves to make her human happy by learning new tricks! Saucy sits immediately when she comes to you!
