Zoidberg is a fictional character desperate for acceptance in the series Futurama. He is a Decapodian, a crustacean-like species of alien, who works as the staff doctor for Planet Express.

Before applying for a dog, please take a moment to review our Adoption Information & Procedures

Some of the dogs in our program are adopted before we get to know them. Some stay longer but require several weeks to show their character. Some dogs receive additional evaluations and training by professionals if needed.

We work hard to provide as much information as possible but the process is not perfect. Our goal is to give the dogs the best chance to stay in their home for the rest of their lives, so we will be honest regarding what we know about them. For MPR, quality of adoptions takes precedence over a quick turnaround.

We do our very best to update the dogs bios as quickly as we can. In many cases, dogs are adopted before we are able to revise their listing. Please do not contact MPR via email or messenger to inquire about a dog’s personality and/or temperament, compatibility with other pets, etc. The volunteers in charge of replying to general requests are not the same as those handling and evaluating the dogs. They will not not be able to answer your questions.

Missouri Pit Bull Rescue makes no express or implied warranty, representation or promise to the age, health, breed, habits, disposition, behaviors, obedience, or safety of the dogs in our program. Our assessments are subjective, and based on information we receive when selecting the dogs for our program, as well as observations and reports from our volunteers and caretakers. Adopters understand that no one can predict how a dog will react under all circumstances and situations.

Background Info:

This huge puppy was found as a stray and never claimed. We don't have any info regarding his background before landing at the city pound. We named him Zoidberg because we thought he looks like a fun-loving alien creature.

Adoption Fee: $200
Breed: Pitbull mix
Sex: Male
Age: 8-12 mts old
Weight: Growing

Health Condition:

Zoidberg is currently getting over what appears to be non-serious intestinal issues. He might have a sensitive digestive system but nothing that seems too serious. He's probably need a good quality and consistent diet for the rest of his life.

Physical Description:

He is so silly-looking and so gorgeous as the same time. His coat is an amazing gold and copper color with various tones. Someone butchered his ears almost to the skull to make him look mean, but they missed the mark on this one. His little battle ears only make him look more endearing. What's the most adorable about Zoid though, is his huge overbite. This puppy couldn't be any cuter. And he's BIG for his age! We expect him to reach well over 80 lbs as an adult.

Current Living Situation:

Zoidberg is fostered in a home with older children, a few dogs of various sizes and ages and two cats. There's a large fenced yard with a 6' privacy fence.

Zoidberg is a happy and easy-going dog. He's medium energy and can match his human's energy. If you want to do activities, he is ready to go, but if you want to just hang that works for him too.

Behavior with people:

No issues meeting new people. Foster mom says he is friendly and outgoing with everyone.

Behavior with children:

Foster mom says Zoidberg got to visit with a one-year-old little girl for two days and he was a perfect gentleman. She suspects that he must have lived with children before.

Behavior with other dogs:

Zoidberg plays well with others. He does well with all the other pets in his foster home - even the cat!

Behavior with other animals:

This sweet boy has a low prey drive, even befriending the cats he lives with.

Zoidberg sleeps loose in the house at night. Crate training is in progress. He has occasional accidents in the house, but he is still a puppy so this understandable.

Even if you can’t adopt this sweetheart, you can still help by donating for their care.
