Before applying for a dog, please take a moment to review our Adoption Information & Procedures
Some of the dogs in our program are adopted before we get to know them. Some stay longer but require several weeks to show their character. Some dogs receive additional evaluations and training by professionals if needed.
We work hard to provide as much information as possible but the process is not perfect. Our goal is to give the dogs the best chance to stay in their home for the rest of their lives, so we will be honest regarding what we know about them. For MPR, quality of adoptions takes precedence over a quick turnaround.
We do our very best to update the dogs bios as quickly as we can. In many cases, dogs are adopted before we are able to revise their listing. Please do not contact MPR via email or messenger to inquire about a dog’s personality and/or temperament, compatibility with other pets, etc. The volunteers in charge of replying to general requests are not the same as those handling and evaluating the dogs. They will not not be able to answer your questions.
Missouri Pit Bull Rescue makes no express or implied warranty, representation or promise to the age, health, breed, habits, disposition, behaviors, obedience, or safety of the dogs in our program. Our assessments are subjective, and based on information we receive when selecting the dogs for our program, as well as observations and reports from our volunteers and caretakers. Adopters understand that no one can predict how a dog will react under all circumstances and situations.
Teddy's previous owner left him behind with a roommate when he moved out and never came back for him. Teddy was brought to the city pound where he made a great impression on the staff with his sweet nature and fun-loving personality. He is still growing and we think he already looks like a big Teddy bear, hence his name.
Adoption Fee: $ 200

Teddy Ruxpin is healthy and ready for adoption.
Gorgeous golden/copper coat, big Teddy bear head and such beautiful eyes. This dog has everything it takes to quickly win someone over.
Current Living Situation:
Teddy is fostered in a home with other dogs, teenage kids and even a cat. He's getting great socialization and proving to be a wonderful foster guest. Other than being a little too enthusiastic about chasing the cat, his foster mom doesn’t have anything bad to say about him. We will post more info soon.
A fun-loving and outgoing goofball. Teddy has a good combination of traits such as; a playful disposition, positive energy, loving nature and chill personality. He's pretty typical for a young dog his age and doesn't seem to have any hang-ups in life.
Behavior with people:
Friendly and comfortable. Happy-go-lucky, outgoing, and sweet.
Behavior with children:
Unknown for small kids, but he's great with the teenagers in his foster home.
Behavior with other dogs:
Teddy is doing well with dog-savvy dogs in his foster home. More info coming soon.
Behavior with other animals:
He was ok with the cat at first but has now started chasing it a little too vigorously. We recommend a home with no cats for this dude. Foster mom is now keeping him separate from her cat.
Teddy Ruxpin knows basic commands and does well in a crate. He hasn't had any accidents in the house but his foster mom is home all day and he goes outside several times a day.
Teddy's bio will be updated as we get to know him better. We believe he will be popular however, thanks to his good looks, young age and great personality. Don't wait too long to apply or this awesome dog will pass you by!
Even if you can’t adopt this sweetheart, you can still help by donating for their care.
