Watcher of the Cosmos. Collector of Stars. The meaning of the name Rosaline is: Beautiful, pretty rose.
Rosaline was confiscated by animal control after living outside in a muddy, freezing pen with nowhere to go for clean water or to stay warm. Poor baby was starving, infested with parasites, and sick with heartworm disease. Can you imagine how grateful she is to have been rescued?

Rosaline is fostered in a home with another large laid back dog and does very well with him. There's a fenced yard in her home. She is kept in a crate when home alone. Rosaline goes on walks with her foster family and is learning to be a well behaved companion.
She's a doll! Very, very affectionate. She is easy to handle, has a low prey drive and is very smart. Her level of energy is moderate. She is very responsive to voice.
Behavior with people:
Rosy wants nothing more than to love and be loved! A real people pleaser. Now that she realizes people actually want her love, she is eager to give it all away in exchange for a cuddle.
Behavior with children:
She hasn't been around any children yet but loves everyone that she meets! She would be an excellent addition to a family. A home with older, respectful children is preferred as she is a sweet and sensitive little lady.
Behavior with other dogs:
Rosa loves her big foster brother (laid back, older Shepherd mix). They were introduced slowly and are now doing great together. Rosa could be placed in a home with a compatible male or as an only pet.
Behavior with other animals:
She's met cats at the vet clinic and did well. She is not very reactive when she sees cats on her walks. We believe she might possibly be able to share her home with a feline friend.
Rosy is so eager to please that she would do anything if it meant she gets praise and pets. She is easy to take care of and lovingly grateful for her chance.
Rosaline is a terrific dog! She had a rough start but she is making up for it by enjoying every day! She is a little naive and things that we take for granted she finds amazing, like blowing leaves and the smell of a grill. She was amazed that someone would pick up her poo poo on a walk! Lol! She is good on the leash. She loves our big male dog, Max. She is working on house training. She is good with cats and loves to cuddle. She has low to moderate energy and loves to do whatever her person is doing!
