Rain is a symbol of having fun and being a little rebellious... Rain also has a renewal and rebirth aspect to it. As the saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers.” It can symbolize a good thing coming after a bad time or it can just mean the washing away of the old and regrowing something better.
Raindrop was brought to the pound by police officers. We do not have all the details, but no one came back for her. She was selected for our program due to her combination of good looks and great personality. Everyone wanted to make sure she would find a great home and not fall in the wrong hands.

Little Miss Raindrop is healthy and ready for adoption.
She sure is a little beauty. Pictures don't do her justice whatsoever. She is MUCH prettier in person. She's just very uncomfortable in front of the camera. Raindrop is medium-size, slightly smaller than average. She has a healthy and gorgeous blue coat and a beautiful face.
Raindrop is a well-behaved and praiseworthy guest at MPR's shelter. She's easy to handle and no trouble at all. She is calm and patient in her kennel, uses her doggy-door if she needs to potty, non-destructive of her bedding, doesn't get agitated by the other dogs... you name it! We couldn't ask for a better guest.
Super friendly, happy, outgoing and fun-loving. We guaranty you this little blue beauty won't be with us very long. We just need to capture her beauty in pictures. When it comes to personality, she definitely gets a A+. As soon as someone meets her, they will pick her!
Raindrop is middle-ground in terms of energy. She loves to play, but has a chill side too. She is responsive, but not a push-over. She's eager to have fun and to enjoy life.
Behavior with people:
Very friendly and comfortable with everyone. She doesn't seem to have any preference between men or women. She just wants to be everyone's best friend. She's probably not going to be the best guard dog because everyone she meets is a long-lost-friend. She's a real little beauty though, so she's the one who needs to be guarded.
Behavior with children:
Unknown. She's enthusiastic for life but now rowdy. She might be a little jumpy, but nothing out of control. She hasn't been mouthy with the volunteers at the shelter. We think she might do well in a home with respectful and responsible children.
Behavior with other dogs:
While at the pound, Raindrop was introduced to other dogs and the result was guarded. She was selective in playgroups and had stiff greetings. The training team felt she was anxious and conflicted.
We believe she would shine as an only pet, but might be able to share a home with a compatible male if the owners are willing to take the time needed for a slow introduction (could be several days to a few weeks) and provide diligent supervision.
Behavior with other animals:
She's fun-loving, smart and loves a good time. Turn training sessions into an amusing affair and you'll have a dedicated student! At the shelter, Raindrop keeps her kennel clean and doesn't cause any problems.
She is as fun-loving as she is cute! A great combination of good looks and endearing personality. She has it all!
