The Petite Madeleine is a traditional small sponge cake with a distinctive shell-like shape, from the Lorraine region France. It is said that a girl named Madeleine had been given these little cake-like cookies during her pilgrimage, and she brought the recipe back to France with her.
Madeleine came in as a stray from animal control. She was sleeping under a car and a citizen confined her for pick up. Sadly she was never claimed from the pound so its very possibly she had been purposely dumped.

Age: 2-4 yrs
Weight: 40-50 lbs
Color: Blue Fawn
Healthy and ready for adoption.
Cute little chubby potato. She has a nice blue-fawn coat and is on the small size. Great size for a small house and small yard.
Maddy is doing awesome at MPR shelter. She's easy to please and thinks this place is pretty cool. She doesn't cause any trouble in her kennel, does not destroy her bedding and lets herself out via the doggy-door when she needs to potty.
An adorable princess who's enthusiastic about life but not hyper. Maddy has a very positive spirit and a naturally outgoing personality. She has a medium energy level and loves a short bout of zoomies as much as cuddling on the couch and watching TV. She is not needy, but very loving. Her temperament is well balanced and pleasing. She is responsible and easy to handle.
Behavior with people:
Madeleine will bond strongly with her family and might be a little protective. She's a doll with those she knows well and loves to spend time cuddling with her loved-ones. She's very affectionate.
Behavior with children:
We prefer a home with older children or adults for this fun-loving princess. Please keep in mind that while she might just be the sweetest little princess with her family, she might think she needs to protect "her" kids. She will require responsible and sensible ownership.
Behavior with other dogs:
Madeleine would do best as an only pet. She's not interested in making doggy-friends.
Behavior with other animals:
No cats please!
Learning basic commands.
She's as cute as a button, fun-loving and always in a good mood. Her small size and loving demeanor make her perfect for pretty much any lifestyle, although a home with a fenced yard is preferred.
