Lowmax was one of seven dogs selected to join our program from an overcrowded city pound. We chose Lowmax based on recommendations from the staff, his friendly disposition when we met him, as well as his small size and cute face.

Lowmax is currently living in our mini shelter. He keeps his kennel clean and knows to go outside to go potty. He has supervised access to a yard during the day and is doing very good. He is kenneled next to another dog and is acting towards her, though that have not been introduced yet.
Lowmax is a very outgoing little guy. He is always happy to see people and greets them warmly. He loves to cuddle and at the same time enjoys chewing on his bones. He's very playful and loves getting attention. Lowmax is a little needy for attention. If you are looking for an independent dog, Lowmax is not the one. He wants to be where everyone is, and preferably “on” someone if you let her.
BEHAVIOR WITH ADULTS:
Lowmax loves people! He is very friendly and outgoing and always happy to make new friends. He greets visitors with enthusiasm and a big smile. We are working on not jumping up to greet people. He’s just so happy to have attention that he finds hard to contain his joy. That said, he’s a smaller size dog and is not overly brutal with the jumping. We believe this happy behavior will soon be under control as Lowmax is responsive and eager to please.
BEHAVIOR WITH CHILDREN:
Lowmax hasn't meet any children since he's been with us. He’s very much a little clown though and a puppy at heart. We believe he would do well in a home with children and would probably enjoy the action and attention.
BEHAVIOR WITH DOGS:
Lowmax has not been introduced to other dogs since being with us. We were told he was part of a play-group when at the city pound though. He is not behaving negatively towards the female Pit bull kenneled next to him. He does seem reactive to small animals though, including small dogs.
BEHAVIOR WITH SMALL ANIMALS:
Lowmax has a high prey drive and will not to be placed in a home with cats or small dogs.
Lowmax keeps his kennel clean. Right now we are working on teaching him basic commands. He is very motivated to learn and make his people happy.
His best attribute is how much he loves people! He just stares into your eyes and you feel the love!
