Jessica Rabbit is beautiful, passionate, and glamorous. She works as a performer at the “Ink and Paint Club”. She claims to Eddie Valiant, “I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way.”
We do not have any info regarding the past of this adorable girl with the rabbit ears. Jessica was found as a stray by animal control, taken to the city pound and never claimed. She was scared, thin and dirty, and might have been on her own for a while. She was a hit with the staff though and they quickly brought her to our attention. How could we not fall for that precious freckled face?

Jess is back in shape, healthy and ready for adoption.
She's really cute! Slightly smaller than average but very well proportioned (if you dont count the ears ;-)) She's covered in cute freckles. It's possible there's a little bit of Australian Cattle Dog in her background. She sure is very smart and responsive little ACD's are and about the same size.
Jessica is staying at MPR shelter and is really starting to enjoy her new life with us. She was a little unsure when she arrived but has quickly been coming out of her shell. She's relieved and grateful and appreciates being loved and pampered. Jess is very good in her kennel. Patient, quiet and nonreactive towards the other dogs.
She's a doll! Sweet, loving little princess. She's coming out of her shell a little more everyday and showing her playful side too.
Jessica is very easy-going and her energy is controlled. For the most part she just wants to follow you around and cuddle next to you. She's not a brat about it though. She's very eager-to-please.
Jessica is responsive, humble and easy to handle. She seems to have the kind of personality to fit pretty much any lifestyle. Big house in the country, studio apartment in the city, long walks, short runs, big yard or not, she's not difficult and we believe could adapt to just about any environment.
Behavior with people:
She loves people by nature but was a little hesitant when she arrived to us. She might have had a few bad accouters with unsavory individuals when she lived in the streets. Since being in our program she has learned that people can be nice and caring, and has been thrilled to finally let herself enjoy human's company. She's a friendly and sweet little dog with a heart of gold. Very affectionate and cuddly.
Behavior with children:
She has been nothing but a sweetie-pie with all children she met. She would do awesome in a home with well-behaved and gentle kids. She is a little sensitive so might not be an ideal candidate for a home with babies and toddlers or very rambunctious children.
Jessica spent a few weeks in a home with children recently (5 and 8) and was wonderful with them. The home didn't work out because of the cat, not the kids. Parents reported that she was playful but well behaved around the kids even when she met a baby. She was greeting the family enthusiastically when they came home but wasn't rambunctious and overwhelming the kids. Everyone loved her and was very upset to bring her back. Sadly, despite all their efforts, Jess just didn't get along with the cat.
Behavior with other dogs:
We were told she was introduced to several other dogs before coming to our program and did well. Since with us, Jessica spent a few weeks in a home with an older, laid back male and did awesome with him. She respected his mood and his space, and wasn't pushy with roughhousing. Yet, she was eager to play and have fun when he was.
That said, Jessica can be reactive at the sight of animals she is not familiar with. She needs a slow introduction and a structured environment.
Behavior with other animals:
Jessica definitly has a high prey drive. No cats for this sweet lady.
She's learning the basic. House-breaking is in progress. She had a few accidents at first but just figured out how to use the doggy-door and let herself out when she needs to go. She is very smart, respectful, and attentive.
She's a delightful little dog inside and out. She's cute, smart and very eager to please. Adorable in every aspects. Her pictures dont do her justice! You'll fall in love when you meet her in person :-)
