Beautiful Blue Jay. The Blue Jay is a symbol of communication, intelligence and curiosity. This bird may also symbolize protection and fearlessness. If a Blue Jay appears in your life, you will feel safe and protected.
Jaylin was found as a stray and brought to the local pound. Her owners came in to reclaim her but opted to leave her there because they were informed about Kansas City law requiring Pit Bull dogs to be spayed and neutered. They did not want her spayed as she was only useful to them as a breeding machine.

She is gorgeous! Medium size, striking blue & white coat and evenly cropped ears. An angel of beauty :-)
She has adjusted well to life at the shelter. While it's obvious her previous family didn't care too much about her, we dont think she was mistreated. She might have been a house pet or at least was at some point. She does great in her kennel and is no trouble at all.
Jaylin is a fun-loving princess who loves attention. She can be a little clingy at times but she's so hard to resist that she usually gets what she wants. And she wants you to notice her.
She has a playful side and loves to do zoomies and butt-runs. Her energy level is medium. She'll play for a bit but she is pretty easy-going overall.
Jaylin is not defiant with people but thrives on leadership. She likes to know someone is in charge so she doesn't feel the need to be the dominant one. She needs gentle but confident leadership.
Jaylin is curious and likes to explore. This means checking out what's on the counter top too. Otherwise, she has great house manners. She might jump up on visitors but we are working on greeting manners. She is responsive but can test boundaries. She's a VERY smart dog.
Behavior with people:
Timid, affectionate, loyal and protective. She is especially fond of women but warms up to men as well, especially if they make an effort to win her heart. She is responsive to cues she gets from her loved-ones and loves to please.
Behavior with children:
Unknown but we prefer a home with adults or older children for this silly princess.
Behavior with other dogs:
She was briefly introduced to other dogs and it wasn't love-at-first-sight. She might be able to share her home with a compatible male but it would take some work. She is a little set-in-her-ways and might not have a huge tolerance for rambunctious or rowdy dogs. We dont recommend a home with another female.
Behavior with other animals:
We are getting to know her. She knows sit and seems housebroken. She is also crate trained. She pulls a little bit on the leash but not in an unmanageable way. She's actually pretty good. Jaylin is smart and should be a quick learner once she is comfortable with her new owner.
Her beauty is striking but she is also a very fun-loving and loyal dog. She is perceptive and alert. You can see this dog's intelligence in her beautiful eyes.
