Jasmine was born into a role and society that treats her as an object rather than a person. As such, she lived much of her young life with the desire to breakaway from such confines and live a life where she is respected as an individual and free to make her own choices.
Jasmine was found by animal control in a neglectful situation. She and her companion Aladdin were immediately confiscated and a plea to help came to us. Upon meeting them we knew right away they deserved a chance with MPR. Alladin was quickly adopted, but Jasmine is still waiting for love...
Adoption Fee: $150
Breed: Pit Bull

Jasmine was infested with parasites and heartworm positive when she came to us but has since been successfully treated. Jazz is now healthy and ready for a new home.
Jasmine enjoys every minute of her new life with MPR and is so grateful for her chance. Being loved and well treated is still very new to her so she pores her whole little heart out, letting us know how blessed she feels to be with us.
Jasmine is fostered in a home with three adults and a teenager. Foster mom also baby sits her nieces and nephews, aging from a baby, a toddler and 7 yo. There are no other pets in her foster home.
Jazzy has settled awesomely in her foster home and is a very well-behaved little princess.
Jazz likes car rides. She'll sit quietly, though she prefers the front seat. Sometimes she'll put her head out the window but mainly she just sits there like a little lady.
Jazzy is crated when home alone but sleeps loose in the house at night. She's only in the kennel a few hours a day as there is usually someone home.
Jasmine sure is a princess and her foster family describes her as dainty.
It is amazing how she hasn't let her previous sad life ruin her happy spirit. She is so ready to love and be loved. This adorable girl has a wonderful personality. She is gentle inside the home, quiet, super sweet and always happy to cuddle. When outside, Jasmine is outgoing and full of happy energy.
Jasmine is very well balanced and adjusted. She is eager to please and somewhat sensitive but not shy at all. Her level of energy is right in the middle. She is outgoing and loves to go on walks. She is fostered in a 4 plex apartment with no fenced yard so goes on walks 4 times a day (3 short walks and one longer walk) for potty breaks and exercise.
Behavior with people:
Jasmine loves being around people but isn’t too needy about it. She is indeed very polite. She is definitely a people-dog though and might enjoy the company of humans more than other dogs.
Jasmine can be a little sensitive around men at times but it doesn't last long at all. She was not well-treated before and she seems a little unsure of people's intentions towards her when she first meet them. As soon as she realizes no one wants to hurt her, she turns on the cuddle-machine. She's actually very easy to love and quickly wins the heart of everyone she meets.
Behavior with children:
Jasmine is great around whatever age of children. She meets many neighbors kids when she's on outings and always loves greeting them.
Jasmine even lets the toddler in her foster home play dress-up and doesn't mind. She knows she's a doll, lol!
There is also a teenager boy in the home, who Jasmine adores. They like to sit and watch movies all day if they could!!
Behavior with other dogs:
Jasmine is more of a people-dog but might be able to share a home with a compatible male with proper introductions and supervision. She is fostered as an only pet right now and is very content with this situation.
While she was confiscated from a home with another dog, we dont know if the dogs were together or kept on separate chains or kennels. We think the best situation for her would be as an only pet, but we will not rule out a home with a compatible male if the owners are experienced and understand the breed well.
Behavior with other animals:
Jasmine gets overly excited when around cats. Jasmine would do best in a home with no other small animal
Jasmine is housebroken, crate trained and she knows a few commands. Sit, lay down and shake with both paws. She's very responsive to men because of the deep voice but she is eager to please with anyone, even children.
Jazz has been trained to use a gentle leader while on walks, which helps. She now does great when going on outings and if she tries to pull the gentle leader makes her easy to control.
Jazz is well behaved in crate (quiet and patient), non destructive of her bedding and keeps it neat and clean.
She smiles!!! And that alone is too cute. But we really can't say anything bad about this little beauty. Please do not let her cropped ears discourage you from opening your heart to her. It's not her fault someone did this to her and in no way does it affect her loving nature. We hope a prospective owner will notice her beautiful heart instead, great eyes and pretty smile.
Jasmine is a little smaller than average for a Pit Bull and so easy to please. She seems more than willing to do everything she can to make you fall in love with her. It won't be hard. She is ADORABLE!
