Igoo is a rock ape in the Herculoids series. A large and powerful simian. Igoo has a kind and gentle temperament, as well as a great fondness and devotion for the heroine. He would do anything for her.
Bailed from Kansas City animal control. We have no information regarding Igoo's past. The shelter staff brought him to our attention as a good looking dog his size and with cropped ears, was at risk of attracting the wrong kind of attention in an overcrowded city pound. We are glad to have given him a chance in our program. He's proving to be a gorgeous dog inside and out.

Larger than a Pit Bull and he might still have some growing up to do. At least he'll get bulkier. He's already pretty tall. We are guessing that Igoo is a Cane Corso or Cane Corso mix due to his head shape and body structure but we dont know his background to know for sure. His coat is very velvety and a gorgeous dark blue. This dog turns heads!
This happy goofball is enjoying life at MPR shelter. He can be a bit of a big baby at times and not always thrilled to be in his kennel but is not too much trouble about it. He'll howl a little occasionally but it doesn't last long. He likes water and plays in his water bowl or when we clean his outside kennel with the water hose. He's a fun-loving clown.
A huge puppy! Still very juvenile and learning about life. Igoo is rather happy-go-lucky and not the kind to sweat the small stuff. He's outgoing for the most part but sometimes a little unsure in a new environment. He just needs a little more exposure to the world and people. He's eager to learn.
His level of energy is right in the middle. He loves to play but settles nicely once he's had a chance to let loose a little. He does act like a giant goof who doesn't always understand his size. He's still a pup at heart,. Just needs structure and training. Nothing problematic at all.
Behavior with people:
Very friendly but we are expecting him to become a little more reserved with strangers as he matures. For now, he acts like a goofy puppy when meeting new people. He does seem to analyze his environment though and takes the time to read people's intentions towards him. He's never shown any inappropriate behaviors towards people since being in our care. He seems like a well-adjusted dog.
Behavior with children:
Other than his size, we dont see a problem with children but he has short bursts of excitements sometimes and due to his size, we wouldn't recommend a home with little kids.
Behavior with other dogs:
We aren't sure. He might be able to share a home with a compatible female under the right supervision and leadership. He's a large intimidating dog so a home with another male could end up in future conflicts between the dogs, which is commonly seen with bully breeds.
Behavior with other animals:
He's eager to learn but still puppyish. We are working on basic commands. He keeps his kennel clean.
Gorgeous dog with a heart as beautiful as his appearance. Igoo is young and full of potential as family companion and loyal protector. He just needs someone who can provide responsible ownership and treat him with kindness and respect.
