Gleek is a fictional character with super powers, appearing in the animated series, "Super Friends" and its related spin-offs.

Some of the dogs in our program are adopted before we get to know them. Some stay longer but require several weeks to show their character. Some dogs receive additional evaluations and training by professionals if needed.
We work hard to provide as much information as possible, but the process is not perfect. Our goal is to give the dogs the best chance to stay in their home for the rest of their lives so we are genuine regarding what we know about them. For MPR, quality of our placements takes precedence over a quick turnaround.
We do our very best to update the dogs' bios as quickly as we can. In some cases, dogs are adopted before we are able to revise their listing.
Please do not contact MPR via email or messenger to inquire about a dog’s personality and/or temperament, compatibility with other pets, etc. The volunteers in charge of replying to general requests are not the same as those handling and evaluating the dogs. They will not be able to answer your questions.
Missouri Pit Bull Rescue makes no express or implied warranty, representation or promise to the age, health, breed, habits, disposition, behaviors, obedience, or safety of the dogs in our program. Our assessments are subjective and based on information we receive when selecting the dogs for our program, as well as observations and reports from our volunteers and caretakers. Adopters understand that no one can predict how a dog will act or react under all circumstances and situations.

Gleek came to us malnourished, but he has gained some weight and is now ready to be adopted!
Physical Description:
A blue and white head-turner for sure! Gleek has a big block head with short, cropped ears. He has some “eye shadow” over his right eye, giving him a unique look. And speaking of his eyes, they are soulful! Gleek wears his feelings on his expressive face. He has mastered the ever-adorable head tilt, and his pittie smile is to die for!
Current Living Situation:
Gleek is living it up in a vivacious foster home with five adults, four dogs, and some cats! He has access to a fenced yard and potty training is in progress. This handsome boy was kennel-trained over the course of a weekend! What a smarty pants! Gleek is always crated when home alone, but that’s not very often. He gets to travel in the car a lot going to the foster family’s lake house and farm.
Personality:
He’s a riot! Gleek is a happy goofball that will make you laugh with his facial expressions alone. He is eager to please his people and is overall a very laid-back dude. If you’re looking for a low-energy dog, he’s your guy.
Behavior with people:
Gleek is outgoing and friendly with everyone. He’s exposed to all types of people coming and going and everyone just loves him.
Behavior with children:
Friendly with kiddos too! Gleek could make a great family dog. With his low energy, you don’t have to worry about him being too rambunctious or running over little ones.
Behavior with other dogs:
Foster mom says that Gleek is friendly with the other dogs in her home. We can't say for sure if that's the case for all dogs, but think that after proper introductions, Gleek could live with a compatible female.
Behavior with other animals:
We have not witnessed any prey drive from him. Zero in fact! He cohabitates with the cats just fine.
Training:
He’s smart, but very green when it comes to training. His foster mom is working with him on the basic commands. Gleek is eager to please, so we think he’ll pick it up in no time.
Best Attribute:
Gleek is a beautiful dog inside and out. He is so loving and goofy, clumsy, and fun. He is a wonderful cuddle buddy and makes a great napping partner. 🥰
