The flower symbolism associated with the fuchsia is confiding love, good taste and exquisite beauty.
Fuchsia was most likely used as a breeding machine then dumped at the pound. Her beautiful looks would most likely have landed her in another bad situation so we scooped her up for our program. She is heartworm positive and will need treatment for that before she can find her forever family. She is such a doll, we are so happy to be able to get her started on the life she deserves.

Fuchsia is happily settling into shelter life. She has an indoor/outdoor kennel that she keeps clean with a bed that she is pretty fond of. She loves play time with the volunteers and seems pretty pleased with her new digs. Her favorite activity so far is having her rear end scratched, which makes everyone at the shelter laugh.
Fuchsia is such a ham! She loves attention and like most pitties, doesn’t completely understand the concept of “personal space.” She seems to have quite a bit of energy and would probably do well with an active family once her heartworm treatment is completed and she is healthy.
Behavior with people:
So loving and very responsive, especially if it means she gets some love in return!
Behavior with children:
Unknown at this point but she would most likely be fine with older children.
Behavior with other dogs:
Fuchsia does not seem reactive to the other dogs at the shelter and would possibly do well with a compatible male
Behavior with other animals:
Unknown at this point.
Fuchsia is working on basic commands and is eager to learn. She is responsive to both treats and positive reinforcement of her behaviors.
She doesn’t just have gorgeous markings and an irresistible smile; she has a fantastic personality to match! Beauty and brains wrapped up in the sweetest package you can imagine.
