A fabric softener popular in Canada or a soft bulky deep-piled knitted or woven fabric used chiefly for clothing
Fleecy was confiscated by animal control for being kept in a neglectful situation. How could anyone mistreated such a sweetheart is beyond us. Fleecy is now being spoiled and pampered in foster care, ready to find her forever loving family.
Adoption Fee: $150
Breed: Pit Bull
Age: 1-3 yrs
Weight: 40-50 lbs
Color: Blue brindle
Fleecy has gained weight since her rescue and is now healthy and ready for adoption.
Gorgeous blue brindle female. Just a little bit smaller than average. Note that her pictures make her look bulkier than she is. Fleece has a petite built and delicate features. Very pretty.
Miss fleecy is fostered in a home with 2 young teenagers and 5 other dogs. Fleecy does enjoy playing with the other dogs but adores people.
There's a yard with a chain link fence in her foster and Fleecy respects it.
Her foster mom describes her as "pretty close to perfection". She reports that Fleecy is easy to walk on a leash and enjoys riding in the car. She is very mellow and relaxed, being the happiest when on the couch snuggling.
She is crated when no one is home but sleeps in bed with the 12 yo daughter every night and does not even leave the bed. She can be tad timid when meeting new people or in new surroundings, but warms up quickly.
Fleecy is easy going and easy to handle. Her energy level is perfect; medium to low, though she does like a good butt-run every once and a while. She is responsive and a little more on the submissive side. She has an incredibly sweet nature and loving heart and is naturally well-behaved. Foster mom claims she couldn't have asked for a better one.
Behavior with people:
She loves everyone and opens her heart as soon as she realizes people dont want to hurt her. She is affectionate and cuddly and did we mention so very sweet?
Behavior with children:
Fleecy is doing awesome with the older children in home. She has not been around toddlers. She is a little bit sensitive so a home with older, respectful and gentle kids is preferred.
Behavior with other dogs:
Fleecy interacts well with 4 large male dogs and one small female dog in her foster home. She could be placed in a home with a compatible male. Foster mom claims that she plays very appropriately with other dogs and doesn't act overly dominant with them. She is especially fond of her huge Mastiff foster brother.
Behavior with other animals:
Unknown although she doesn't appear to have a very high prey drive. We do not have the ability to cat-test her so we dont know how she would do in a home with cats.
Fleecy is crate trained and no trouble at all. She had occasional accidents in the house at first but has made great progress. Foster mom considers her pretty much housebroken now.
Fleecy is very eager to please. She knows sit and shake. Comes when you call her.
Terribly sweet and wants to be in your lap on the couch. She has both; beauty and warmth. This dog is a gem and a little princess who deserves to be loved and pampered!
