Clifford is a gentle, friendly, loyal, lovable, clumsy, well-meaning and helpful big red dog. He sometimes gets into trouble because of his size or is tempted into trouble by his friends and those he meets.
Pulled from local city pound, we have very little info about Clifford's whereabouts before he was selected to come into our program. His great disposition won the staff over who nicknamed him "MPR Dog" because they knew right away he'd be perfect for our program.

A little on the large side. Beautiful red-liver male with a gorgeous head and velvety coat. The dog is a stunner!
Clifford is living at MPR shelter, doing very well and enjoying attention from the volunteers. He's great in his kennel and no trouble at all. Not reactive towards the other dogs. He keeps his kennel clean and his bedding tydy.
Big lover boy with a Marmaduke personality. The dog is very sweet, super friendly and has no malice. He doesn't always know his size but isn't a brute by any means. Just a little clumsy at times and occasionally a little "too happy for his own good". It doesn't last long. Cliffer is actually rather easy-going and not overly energetic.
Clifford is indeed very well balanced in both his energy level and his temperament. He is full of potential as family companion.
Behavior with people:
Very friendly! In fact, Clifford is a great breed ambassador. He knows no stranger and wants to be everyone's best friend. Outgoing and comfortable with all people he meets, he has no favorites. The big goofball loves playing as much as he loves cuddling. This dog is very well adjusted.
Behavior with children:
Unknown but we can't anticipate any problems. Cliff did meet two toddlers briefly and did well. He was curious of the little guys but not overly pushy. A home with children over 8 would be great for him because he's very much a kid himself.
Behavior with other dogs:
Clifford has not been introduced to other dogs since being with us but he was in a playgroup prior to coming into our program. We were told he did well with other dogs. This is not an information we can guarantee but he's not giving us any indication that he should be an only pet. A home with a compatible female might work for him or he could be the only two 4-legged child. He's not picky!
Behavior with other animals:
Unknown and we are not able to cat test him. He doesn't seem to have a high prey drive but this has not been verified.
Clifford is easy-going and eager to please. He naturally keeps his kennel clean and is responsive. Cliff is currently learning basic commands with the volunteers.
Just about as happy-go-lucky as they come. A big lovable sweetheart and a bit of a goofball. Clifford is so easy to love and no trouble at all. His family is going to be very lucky to have him.
