Burro originally came into the shelter as a stray and had an injury to his front leg. It was discovered after x-rays that he had an untreated fracture that was already healing. Though there will still be some bone thickening in that front leg, it appears to give him no trouble now. We're happy to have him in our program and he seems quite happy with the arrangement too (at least until he finds his forever home)!

Burro lives in a foster home where he enjoys playing with the resident terrier and snuggling on the couch.
All around he is a pretty perfect dog with a lot of personality. Burro is affectionate, smart, playful, and very easy to love!
Behavior with people:
Burro hasn't met a human he doesn't like! We can't vouch for his guard dog skills, but we're guessing they're not great. Burro is a perfect snuggle buddy when it come to sleeping. He prefers to have his head on the pillow and will not move the entire night--however he does snore!
Behavior with children:
Burro is fantastic with children of all ages and greets anyone coming in to the house in a friendly manner.
Behavior with other dogs:
Burro is great with other dogs and loves to play with the resident 10-pound terrier in his foster home. We always recommend slow and careful introductions, but we believe he would be very happy in a home with other dogs.
Behavior with other animals:
Burro hasn't been introduced to cats or other animals but we believe he may do well in a house with cats.
Burro walks well on a leash and does know how to sit. He seems to be totally house trained and has never had an accident.
His big adorable ears!
