The frog speaks about transitions and transformations. It appears to you during times of change, or when you are about to make a big decision that will affect your future. The frog jumps on your path to signal that it’s time to speak up and be heard. It will most likely appear to you when you need help figuring out right from wrong, or navigating between situations.
Bullfrog was found as a stray and picked up by animal control. He was never claimed, which surprised everyone as he appeared in decent shape. We have no clue how and why he found himself homeless but he's with us now and ready to move on.

Sturdy, funny, small and stout. Kind of a pocket pitty. Think Bulldog/Corgi/Boston Terrier meets Pit Bull. Basically, he looks like a potato with ears and stumpy legs.
Bullfrog currently lives in foster care in a home with an elderly and very laid back female pit Bull. There are two human adults in the home, no kids, and a large yard with privacy fence.
Bullfrog is crated when no one is home and sleeps in his crate at night.
He's a funny little guy. Playful and curious (read nosy), active and sweet. Very interested in his people and wanting to be in the middle of the action with everyone.
The Frog is a comedian. He's not fearful but it seems that his history has included a heavy hand.
He loves to play with balls and kongs and in moments of excitement may exuberantly zoom around the house. When asked to calm down, he typically prepares for physical correction. He's beginning to understand that his good behavior will be praised and excited but polite playfulness is fine too.
Toys are fun and he'll do your taxes for a treat.... So training should come easy. Its clear that no one has ever taught him anything and what's expected of him but he's eager to learn now.
His comedic and enthusiastic antics might be confused with rowdiness, but its not. He's learning the rules of the house and making progress everyday. He's highly responsive and super charming.
Behavior with people:
Bullfrog loves people. Wiggly, happy, and bendy. Wants you to like him. Wants to be the funniest guy in the room. Highly responsive to training, though maybe not a straight A student.
He is a bit of a nibbler... Not biting. But, if you're eating dinner barefoot or with socks, he might make himself a toe sandwich. More ticklish than anything else. If adopted, we'll try to include therapy to cure his foot fetish or try to match him with a family that can appreciate these kinds of idiosyncrasies.
Behavior with children:
The frog has been around older kids (12+). He loves them. If he was in a home with older kids who wanted to play, run, and jump, he'd be in heaven.
Behavior with other dogs:
He's playful, but might be annoying to an older dog who's more into sleeping and eating and lounging. Pretty much his current foster sister. He might do well with a young, playful female. He wants to play. He's young, so still learning respectful manners, but there's no malice in his interest at all.
Behavior with other animals:
He's crate trained. Generally house broken, but still figuring out how to signal to go outside (hes learning quickly though).
He is responsive and eager to please, but it's clear that no one has ever patiently helped him understand what's expected of him. It can be confused with defiance - but it is not. Once he "gets it", he gleefully runs around the room, high-fiveing the world :)
He's very food motivated. When properly motivated, he will do anything for you.
Bullfrog is very puppyish and happy-go-lucky. If you like to laugh, he's your little dude.
