Bricklebaum is a festive plump man from the movie, "The Grinch", appearing as a major character who is very passionate about Christmas and believes that The Grinch is his best friend.

Some of the dogs in our program are adopted before we get to know them. Some stay longer but require several weeks to show their character. Some dogs receive additional evaluations and training by professionals if needed.
We work hard to provide as much information as possible, but the process is not perfect. Our goal is to give the dogs the best chance to stay in their home for the rest of their lives so we are genuine regarding what we know about them. For MPR, quality of our placements takes precedence over a quick turnaround.
We do our very best to update the dogs' bios as quickly as we can. In some cases, dogs are adopted before we are able to revise their listing.
Please do not contact MPR via email or messenger to inquire about a dog’s personality and/or temperament, compatibility with other pets, etc. The volunteers in charge of replying to general requests are not the same as those handling and evaluating the dogs. They will not be able to answer your questions.
Missouri Pit Bull Rescue makes no express or implied warranty, representation or promise to the age, health, breed, habits, disposition, behaviors, obedience, or safety of the dogs in our program. Our assessments are subjective and based on information we receive when selecting the dogs for our program, as well as observations and reports from our volunteers and caretakers. Adopters understand that no one can predict how a dog will act or react under all circumstances and situations.
Background Info:
This stunning and joyful hunk was found as a stray and brought to the city shelter. We couldn't say no to this fun Casanova and scooped him up to join the MPR family!

Health Condition:
Bricklebaum came to us just slightly underweight but quickly picked up those lbs and is healthy for his new home!
Physical Description:
This big guy has a great conformation of a muscular tall body with a thick neck and beautiful blockhead! His eyes are a deep brown with a softness about them. He is strong but also gentle.
Current Living Situation:
Bricklebaum is living at the MPR shelter and fitting in superbly! He does not bother nor get bothered by his neighbors barking. He keeps his inside kennel clean and uses his dog door to do his business in his outside kennel. He prefers to hold it til his rotation in the yard though like a good boy :)
Personality:
GOOFBALL Alert! Brickle has a silly comedic personality that goes so well with his Casanova side as well! He Loves to learn new commands for treat because food is life! He is hard working on learning boundaries of keeping his massive paws off counters but doing well!
Behavior with people:
Everyone is this boys long lost friend! He waits patiently in his kennel but once out he is so excited to be with his humans!! Hope you like to be snuggled and play then snuggle then some more snuggling followed by lots more playing lol!
Behavior with children:
We believe with his size and energy Brickle would do best with older kids.
Behavior with other dogs:
We don't have much previous knowledge but think he could live with a compatible female.
Behavior with other animals:
Unknown as we have no knowledge of him with cats
Training:
He really loves to learn cause learning means Treats! He came with the knowledge of sit, wait, shake. We are working on down and other commands. He is am absolute delight to work with and all volunteers have fallen in love with training him!
Best Attribute:
Bricklebaum has the lust for life and love we all need! He seems to always think every single day is absolutely the best thing in the world no matter what circumstances may bring! Believe us when we say he is pure love and we love soaking it up with him, so will you!
