Mark Twain once said, "There is no such thing as too much good whiskey." Chances are he was referring specifically to Bourbon, a spirit he was known to adore.
No idea why a good looking dog like Bourbon was abandoned at the pound. Perhaps previous owner didn’t want to get him neutered. Their loss, our gain! The dog is not only a hunk, he’s also a friendly and outgoing guy, eager to play and make new friends.

Bourbon is currently at our shelter, waiting patiently for his home to come along. He is very playful and loves his "pacifier"--a kong ball that he keeps in his mouth whenever possible, unless someone wants to throw it for him!
Simply put--awesome. He loves being with people and playing. If he's not sure if you're in the mood, he'll bow and toss you his ball until you figure out that he is irresistible! It won't take long.
Behavior with people:
We can tell that Bourbon did not live in a home that deserved him. All he wants to do is love and be loved, but he's not always certain how to show that love appropriately. He would benefit from a patient, strong family that will help set him up to succeed at showing his love.
Behavior with children:
He seems to love kiddos, but has a lot of energy and needs to practice keeping all four paws on the ground. He would probably do best in a family with older children.
Behavior with other dogs:
Behavior with other animals:
Bourbon keeps his kennel clean and knows basic commands. His exuberance for seeing people can sometimes get the best of him, but he wants nothing more than to make you happy, because that means you'll rub his belly or throw his ball!
This guy is gorgeous. His eyes are so expressive and full of love. Match that with his overabundance of love and joy for life and it's impossible not to fall hard and fast for this fella!
