Blue (from "Blue's Clues") is a friendly, curious pup who loves kids and helps Steve look for clues.
Blue was originally adopted as a puppy and raised in a home with a baby and a toddler. Blue was living the good life, enjoying his family and being a good boy when one day the family moved and did not include Blue in their new plan. They informed us that even though Blue was just about as perfect as they come, they needed to get rid of him. Blue was terribly heartbroken when they brought him back to us but he is now mending his broken heart in a loving foster home.

While with his former owner, Blue had an ACL surgery. he is now in good health and ready for adoption.
Blue is a 5 year old Pit bull, weighing in around 80 lbs. He is a big boy, but a gentle and very calm giant. He has the sweetest eyes, wise and gentle.
Blue is an awesome guest! He's quiet and keeps his space clean. His kennel is set up in his foster mom's home office where he is allowed to be loose during the day and kenneled at night. He loves walks and is easy on leash. During the day, he likes lounging on the couch while his foster mom works next to him.
Blue is fostered in a home with 2 young children, ages 3 and 1. There is also a cat in foster home as well as 3 other dogs. He is currently in the process of being introduced to everyone. He's met the kids already and as we expected, he absolutely adores them.
Blue is very laid back and easy going but gets a little lonely when left alone. This may change as he adjusts from the shock of abandonment. He loves to lounge on the couch and look out the window. He is also very responsive to direction and eager to please his foster parents.
Blue's level of energy is on the low side. He's a quiet boy with a gentleman personalty. He is very obedient and super well behaved. We couldn't ask for a better one.
Behavior with people:
Blue has impeccable manners when meeting people. He doesn't jump up, or act overly timid or pushy. Just very well balanced.
Blue gets attached quickly and strongly. He's a very loyal boy who deserves a family as loyal as he is this time. A family that will never again leave him behind.
Behavior with children:
Blue was raised with children and loves kids! He has been great with the toddler in his foster home and enjoys the company of little ones. The dog is a gem.
Behavior with other dogs:
Blue has met the other dogs in the foster home through the baby gate and is a perfect gentleman. The resident dogs are a little older and need time to accept a new-comer so foster home is going at their pace. He has also been respectful toward other dogs when encountering them on walks.
Behavior with other animals:
Blue has shown some prey drive when seeing squirrels on walks, but is not aggressive toward the cat in his foster home. He is a bit curious at first, and then ignores the cat. He would do well with a dog-savvy cat.
Blue is eager to please. He's crate trained and knows sit and come. He is naturally very well behaved and super easy to handle.
Blue is so gentle and sweet! We look forward to seeing more of his personality shine as he adjusts to change. He's just beginning to show a bit of a playful side too. He likes toys and loves it when the three-year old in his foster home throws a rope toy for him!
This dog is absolutely precious and we were very upset to see him lose his home after 5 years of loyal companionship, especially for a reason as trivial as moving. We believe that no member of the family should be abandoned under such circumstances but we had to make peace with the fact that not everyone sees animals as family members. We're going to be a little more picky this time around and make sure the next family that opens their heart and home to Blue will never deem him an inconvenience they can just easily eliminate from their life. This dog deserves the best and only the best people deserve such a wonderful dog :-)
