Arlo is a friendly dinosaur who develops an unlikely friendship with a human boy named Spot, His new friend helps him realize he is capable of much more than he ever thought.
Named Arlo because of his huge feet, this gorgeous blue brindle boy seems to have had a rough life. While the neglect left its mark on him physically, it didn't deter his love for people. Arlo is a big cuddly, loving teddy-bear, very eager to leave his past behind him and discover what the good life is all about.

Arlo was not in the best of shape when he arrived to us, but is quickly turning into a stunning hunk. All he needs is TLC and good quality diet. The dog is gorgeous and oh so very sweet.
Arlo lives at MPR shelter and i's pretty convinced life couldn't get any better at this point. Boy do we have a surprise for him. He is indeed very easy to please and pretty much anything is better than the life he had before. Arlo loves his comfy dog bed, as well as the safety and comfort of being inside instead of alone and neglected in someone's yard.
Though Arlo is a little slow about learning to use his doggy-door, he is very well behaved in his kennel and non destructive. He's had an occasional accident but nothing that indicates he'd be problematic being house trained.
Arlo will go potty outside when in the yard but he much prefers being a couch potato and cuddling with a volunteer than chasing balls.
Very loving and somewhat submissive with people (though he might be dominant with other dogs). Arlo is eager to please and to be loved. He's still in the process of realising no one will hurt him anymore and is obviously very relieved.
Arlo is very easy-going and laid back. He's a low-energy dog who prefers cuddling to fetching. He'll play a little bit but his favorite thing is cuddle-time with the volunteers. He might enjoy a short walk but he is not a very energetic dog. Goofing around in the house, rolling on his back for a belly rub, and falling off the couch to amuse the gallery are his favorite activities.
Behavior with people:
Very loving, sweet, responsive and cuddly with everyone he meets. That said, Arlo is alert and ready to let you know if something is off around the house. He's not exactly a guard dog, but he could qualify as a "watchdog". Still, a good looking dog like him is more at risk of being taken by undesirable individuals than anything else. He's the one who needs to be guarded.
We believe Arlo will bond strongly with his loved-ones and will be a devoted and dedicated companion, very grateful of the love and good care he is getting.
Behavior with children:
Arlo has not been with kids since being with us but we believe he would do well in a home with respectful older children, While he looks like a tough dog, he actually has a sensitive spirit.
Behavior with other dogs:
As of now, we think Arlo might be happier as an only pet. He tenses up at the sight of other dogs and doesn't seem very eager to make doggy friends. Arlo is very much a people-dog.
Behavior with other animals:
Arlo is responsive and very eager to please, especially if treats are involved! We can't say that he's a rocket scientist when it comes to complicated tricks, but he is a polite, well behaved and aims at making his loved-ones happy.
It didn't take this Casanova long to charm the volunteers. He quickly became a favorite and we have no doubt he will make someone very happy. Arlo is very charming, has great manners, is easy-going and gorgeous looking. We don't think a great dog like him will be with us very long.
