Archie is an intense, conflicted teen, a high school sophomore who got in shape over summer and now has to handle newfound attention from his female classmates. He struggles balancing his social life with his passion for writing and performing music.
Archie has found himself homeless again to no fault of his own. Unfourtanly for all parties, Archie's mom has been diagnosed with cancer and is no longer able to care for Archie. She has nothing but great things to say. This decision has been made with Archie's best interest in mind.
Adoption Fee: $150
Breed: Pit Bull
Age: 8-12 mths
Weight: 50lbs (Growing)
Archie is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on
vaccination and ready for his new home.
Archie was adopted as a puppy and grew up
well-cared for by his human mom. He is now
living in our shelter, trying his best to adjust to
this big life change. He's not used to being
homeless and you can tell this situation is hard
on him. He's doing his best to be a good sport.
This boy is fun-loving with a big personality. He
loves to have a good time and enjoys zoomies
in a larger fenced yard. Archie has a strong personality and is a confident, outgoing dog.
His energy is medium-high and very typical for his age. He's a normal teenager pibble, a little full of himself at times. He's very playful and super smart.
Archie is athletic and would love a home with an active family. Long walks, hiking, even running would be fantastic activities for him.
Behavior with people:
Archie enjoys meeting new people. The minute someone starts to talk to Archie his tail gets a going. He hasn't met a stranger. He is currently working on his manners and learning how to control his excitement when greeting people.
Behavior with children:
Archie has yet to be around children. Archie has been around teens and interacts well with them.
Behavior with other dogs:
Archie enjoys the company of other dogs. He would do great in a home with a compatible female (young, active and playful like him) or would also be fine as an only dog if he has plenty of entertainment. He will not be placed with another male as he appears to be a little on the dominant side.
Behavior with other animals:
Archie hasn't met any other furry friends. He's still a pup and might be able to learn to live with a cat, though we suspect he would try to play with it. We dont know for sure.
Housebreaking is in progress. Archie knows some basic training such as sit, down, stay and shake. He is a very smart boy and treat motivated. Archie does best after being exercised, as we all know a tired dog is a happy dog. Archie has a strong potential to expand his training.
Archie is a witty and energetic teenager who'd be well suited for an active family looking for a companion able to keep up with everyone and follow them in all their adventures.
