Background Info:



This beefcake was found as a stray and taken to a local animal shelter where he was never claimed. We cannot believe such an exquisite looking dog was ever unwanted. Unfortunately, we don’t have any information about how he landed at the pound, but we promised Pillsbury that we’d find him a home that would cherish him forever.

Health Condition:

Pillsbury had kennel cough when he first arrived to MPR that is being treated. Otherwise, he is healthy and ready for adoption.

Physical Description:

Can you even?! Pillsbury is SO HANDSOME! This guy is short and stout. He’s somewhat awkward when he moves just because he’s such a meathead with stubby little legs. His coat is mostly white, but his big ole head is remarkably tri colored. He has evenly cropped ears with eyes that look sad when photographed.



Current Living Situation:

This hunky boy is being fostered in an apartment with an adult female. He is crate trained and no trouble at all. At night he sleeps on a dog bed in foster mom’s bedroom.



Personality:

Pillsbury is super easy going and most content on the couch. He’s a bit lazy and prefers to spend his time lounging around. Foster mom says he reminds her of an old grandpa with his facial expressions, but he’s actually a very happy boy.

Behavior with people:

He is well behaved when meeting new people and has not shown any sort of preference in regard to male/female human company.



Behavior with children:

Unknown.



Behavior with other dogs:

Pillsbury has not met any other dogs while in our care yet. He was introduced to others at the animal shelter, and we were told he was good with the females. He hasn’t shown any reaction to other dogs when he goes potty outside the apartment. Foster mom will work on a slow introduction between Pillsbury and her significant other’s female Border Collie once he is over his kennel cough and feeling better.

Training:

Pillsbury has not had any accidents in his foster home. When mom has to leave the apartment, he goes right into his kennel with a treat. He knowns “sit” and is working on mastering “wait” when he gets fed. Pillsbury does fantastic on a leash and in the car – he just needs a little boost getting inside.

Pillsbury’s physical appearance is to die for! The fact that he’s so easy going is just the cherry on top of this pastry boy 😉
