Background Info:

Peach was is a little over a year old when she lost her home this summer. She was surrendered by her owners, along with another dog, because they were not able to keep up with having two puppies. Sounds like a typical case of someone who wanted puppies, but not dogs. Health Condition:
Peach is healthy for the most part, with the exception of a little urinary tract infection that we are currently treating. She's responding to antibiotics and should be all in the clear soon. 

Physical Description:  
She's adorable looking! A little smaller than average but possibly not full grown. Her coat is an unusual color that's hard to capture in pictures. She really is peaches & cream in person.

Living Situation:  
Peach is having a good time at the MPR shelter. She has such a positive spirit that losing her previous home did not affect her one bit. In fact, we think she might know that better things are to come. 

Personality:   
When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade... and in Peach's case, you look for someone whose life has given them Tequila and you have a party! This fun-loving pup is indeed a riot. Always in a good mood, outgoing and playful. She has a cuddly side too and knows how to chill after getting her zoomies out of the way. She's an all around good-natured gal with bright eyes and a very positive outlook on life.

Behavior with people: 
Everyone's a long lost friend for Peach. She is a happy greeter and still very puppyish. We are working on helping her control her great enthusiasm every time someone walks into a room. She will mature eventually, but but we don't think she will ever lose that spark for life and love of people. 

Behavior with children:  
While we know there were no children in her previous family, we have seen her with young teenagers and she was awesome. She would prefer an active family with kids old enough to handle her energy and happy drive. She's the kind of dog who'll seek as much attention as she can get and will want to be in the middle of the action with everyone. 

Behavior with other dogs:  
Peach hasn't been around other dogs since being with us but she was briefly fostered in a home with other dogs while waiting for a spot in our program. We also know that she lived with her sibling in her previous home.

Peach was described as a rambunctious player who doesn't always take no for an answer. Peach could be placed in a home with a young, outgoing and tolerant male who would appreciate her happy energy. We do not recommend a home with a senior dog for this spirited butterfly. 

Behavior with other animals:
She spent a couple weeks in a foster home with a cat and did ok. There were other dogs in the home to keep her entertained. We think she could pester the cats if they were the only other pets in the home.

Training: 
She's smart and loves to have fun. Make training sessions entertaining and she'll be your best student.

At the shelter, Peach doesn't have accidents in her indoor kennel. While she hasn't been destructive with her bedding, she does like to reorganize her blankets to fit her liking.

Best Attribute:   
Peach is a typical young Pit Bull with a very outgoing and friendly personality. She is still green and learning about the world with great enthusiasm. She's a smart dog with good timing response and is full of potential. Very easy to love!
