Laffy Taffy
An incredibly sweet and long lasting flavorful chew that comes in a variety of fun assorted flavors. With jokes on every wrapper, unwrap some delicious silliness.
Background Info:
This adorable puppy was left in an abandoned apartment and was brought into the city pound by animal control. Despite her ordeal, she was all smiles and tail-wags when the staff did her intake. They were so impressed with her positive attitude that they selected her for our program right away. "Laffy Taffy" seems like a fitting name for such a fun-loving pup!

Health Condition:
Laffy struggled with recurrent urinary tract infections when she initially came to us, which might explained why no one wanted her. Our vet did extensive testing and came up with a course of action. Laffy finally seems to be responding to treatment.
Physical Description:
Liver and white with THE cutest little red nose. Seriously. Look at that face! She still has a little bit of growing up to do, but we expect her to be conformed size for a female pitty.
Living Situation:
Laffy is having the time of her life at MPR shelter. In fact, Laffy would have the time of her life just about anywhere. She is such a cheerleader!
Laffy is mostly quiet and patient in her kennel, minus some vocalizations when she knows other dogs are out having fun with a volunteer and she is not part of the party. Otherwise, she is a little lady.
Personality:
Laffy is very smart and filled with love for life. Her perfect home will have a large yard with a fence and maybe some teenagers to play with.
Like any puppy her age, Laffy Taffy needs an owner committed to training and consistency. She is very smart and spirited and has a big personality.
Typical teenager Terrier, Laffy loves to play fetch and do zoomies in the yard. She is also a bit mouthy and might attempt to chew your hand if she can. She is currently being redirected to toys and nylabones. We're getting there!
Laffy Taffy is a little uneasy in the car and should be safely confined in a crate.
Overall, Laffy has the potential to become an incredible adult. She needs training, structure and leadership. She is a very smart dog, learning the ropes and enjoying life to its fullest.
Behavior with people:
Typical young Pit Bull! She loves people and doesnt know a stranger. She can be a little exuberant in her greetings but is learning to control her enthusiasm. She's a work in progress but full of potential.
Behavior with children:
Laffy is very friendly with children and actually prefers them to adults. She is however, unaware of her size and energy and will jump up when really excited. She is also mouthy and not the most gentle dog when she's excited. She's just a happy puppy and acts according to her age. While she'd have a blast in a home full of kids, and parents with strong leadership might be able to keep her under control, we believe she might be a little too high-strung for young children. She'd have a blast with active teenagers tho!
Behavior with other dogs:
Introductions are still in progress but she has shown positive interest in having doggy-friends. A home with a compatible male is an option.
Behavior with other animals:
Excited to see cats when on a walk - She's energetic and could use chasing a cat as an outlet.
Training:
She knows how to sit and stay. She is content in her crate with a frozen peanut butter butter Kong before bed.
She loves to go on walks, but still needs a bit of work with leash manners.
She understands the concept of housebreaking and will cry at the door if she needs to go outside. She might have accidents in the house if she doesn't have frequent accesses to the yard.
Best Attribute:
Laffy’s best trait is her absolute joie-de-vivre and how contagious it is. She finds joy in everything and is eager to go on whatever adventure her people are willing to take her. She is smart and a quick learner.
