Flannel
Flannel is a soft woven fabric, of various fineness. Flannel is commonly used to make tartan clothing, blankets, bed sheets, and sleepwear.
Background Info:
Flannel was found as a stray and surprisingly never claimed. We do not have any info regarding her upbringing. We named her "Flannel" because of her incredible markings and amazingly soft coat.
Health Condition:
Flannel is healthy and ready for adoption.
Physical Description:
Amazing looking! Her coat is like velvet and her markings are dazzling. Very dark smokey blue, almost black on her middle body but her chest and legs are gold brindle. This dog is a beauty. She is average size for a female but possibly not full grown yet.
Current Living Situation:
Flannel is having a good time at MPR shelter. She's a fun-loving guest, though still very much a puppy. She isn't reactive to the other dogs and waits patiently for her turn out. She also keeps her inside area clean and uses the doggy-door to her outside run if she needs to relieve herself.
While great in the kennel, she needs supervision when in a room as she is a typical curious teeager who likes to get into things as she discovers the world. We recommend crating her when she's home alone.
Personality:
Fun-loving, energetic, playfull, silly, etc. A typical young adult with an inquisitive personality. She seems well-adjusted and even-tempered. She likes to be the life of the party but isn't overly boisterous.
Behavior with people:
Friendly and outgoing, though she has been a little reserved when meeting tall men she doesnt know well. It doesn't take her long to warm up though. She's overall very people-oriented and sociable.
Behavior with children:
Unknown but Flannel has this one bad habit of jumping-up on people when greeting. We're working on it but as of now, we think she would do better with older and bigger kids. She can actually reach an adult's face to plant a kiss on them even when they are standing.
Behavior with other dogs:
Flannel hasn't been with other dogs since her arrival in our program but she was part of a large playgroup at the city pound and described as an enthusiastic participant. She could be placed in a home with a compatible male and would probably enjoy a doggy-brother.
Behavior with other animals:
Unknown
Training:
Little training as of now but we're working on it. She's smart and treat motivated, so eager to learn. She's overall a very normal young Terrier, full of fun and potential.
