Dapple was found by a good Samaritan wandering the streets in the cold. Sadly, nobody claimed this sweet boy. We knew immediately that with his docile nature, endearing and unique appearance, and sweet disposition, Dapple would be a great addition to our program.

Health Condition:

Dapple was a little thin when he was found, but he has been quickly gaining weight. His appearance is now reflecting the distinguished young man that he is. Dapple is healthy and ready to be adopted.

Physical Description:

This sweet boy has a beautiful brown and white dappled coat that is to die for - hence his name! 😉 He has the softest, velvety head and ears that you can't stop petting! Dapple also has the eyes of an angel that will melt your heart. His pink nose, lips, and soft yellow eyes just add to his endearing face. Add in those precious freckles, and there’s no looking away from him. You are forever under his spell!



Current Living Situation:

Dapple is adjusting to the shelter the best that he can. He seems happiest outside but is learning that inside with our volunteers is equally as amazing. When outside, he loves to do zoomies and chew on his toys.



One quirk we’ve noticed about Dapple is that when coming inside, "the floor is lava" 🤦. Poor boy is weary of the polished concrete and reluctant to walk on slick surfaces. Its like ice to him and he seems worried about losing his footing. Its actually kind of funny but we try not to laugh at him, lol.



With help from our volunteers, and a few runner rugs strategically placed throughout the room, Dapple is making great strides in conquering this fear. He now comes in and out with more confidence every day! Go Dapple!!



Personality:

It's hard to believe that such a delightful boy doesn't understand how to take advantage of the good life indoors, but Dapple is quickly learning that he too, deserves to be spoiled rotten.



Dapple understands the assignment 100% when it comes to melting into his human’s lap. He thirsts for your love and attention but is also happy to curl up on the bed and watch you from afar. We believe Dapple will be a wonderful couch snuggler for movie night!



Our sweet boy is learning to overcome his anxiety with the floor and that the big noises in life aren't all that bad. He just would like someone to continue to reassure him as he progresses.

Behavior with people:

Dapple has shown that he loves humans deeply no matter what happened to him in his previous life. He approaches you slowly, then melts into your legs and looks up at you with those stunning yellow eyes and gently insists that you’re affectionate with all your love.



Some quick movements may be too much for Dapple at first, but then understands that he’ll only be receiving TLC from now on. We cannot express how much love Dapple exudes when he walks into a room. We are in love, and you will be too! ♥



Behavior with children:

Dapple would do best with teenagers or older in his future home. No little ones for this boy due to his sensitivity inside and exuberance outside.

Behavior with other dogs:

Unknown. Dapple could possibly live with a compatible female after very slow introductions. While he is an angelic love bug indoors, Dapple does enjoy playing with more gusto while outside in the yard. A compatible female would need to balance both levels of this fantastic friend!



Behavior with other animals:

Unknown. We haven’t seen Dapple interact with other animals yet.

Dapple seems very eager to please. We believe he will enjoy learning commands and master them in no time!

Best Attribute:

Dapper Dapple's best attribute is his endearment. He enters a room and captivates everyone in it. He even makes sure to do his rounds from one person to the next and then starts the rotation over again! Dapper has successfully melted us into puddles of goo, we are confident he will melt you too!
