Background Info:

We're not exactly sure what happened to Bubba before landing at the city pound, but it might not have been a walk in the park. He had injuries consistent with some form of strangulation and a deep puncture wound on his neck. However, his ordeal did not prevent him from winning the staff over with his charming ways. We understood why as soon as we met him. This dog is a real Casanova.

Health Condition:
Bubba has recuperated from his ordeal like a champ. He is now healthy and looking awesome. Neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations, he's one of the lucky guys in our program that tested negative for heartworms.

Physical Description:
Bubba is on the large side for a Pit Bull, but not a giant - he's just big boned and bulky. He's got the silliest eyes with what might be a mild case of strabismus. It only adds to his charm!

Current Living Situation:
Bubba is a trooper at the MPR shelter. He's one of the good ones and the volunteers adore him. He's quiet and patient in his kennel, and keeps it neat and clean. He's non-reactive towards the dogs next to him and doesn't cause any trouble.

Personality:
Bubba is a loving goofball with a medium/low energy level. He loves the snow but is not a fan of the cold. Who is?! He's a well-leveled dog with a great personality and stable disposition.

Behavior with people:
Comfortable with everyone, friendly, and loving but not overly pushy. He's a typical Pit Bull. People-oriented and super friendly. He is sometimes a little hesitant with some humans, as if someone had a heavy hand on him before, but no signs of genetic shyness or discomfort. He tries his very best to be a good boy to quickly earn people's love.

Behavior with children:
Unknown, but we have no reason to believe that he wouldn't be an awesome family companion.

Behavior with other dogs:
While he's not phased by other dogs next to him at our shelter, we know that he was a little uptight at the fence when brought next to a dog-yard while at the pound. He was introduced to other dogs and was described as rough and rowdy, though he did play well and showed no sign of aggression.

Training:
Very little training that we know of but he seems easy and well-behaved. Bubba is not causing any trouble at the shelter and appears to have good house manners. His eagerness to please makes his potential limitless!
